Strategic Partnership and Global Dialogue: Results of Participation in the XIII Global Baku Forum
From March 11 to 15, 2026, Baku hosted the XIII Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center. The Azerbaijan Future Studies Society (Azerbaijan Node of the Millennium Project) took an active part in the work of the forum.
The President of the organization, Reyhan Huseynova, represented the Society on the sidelines of the forum.
At the invitation of the World Academy of Art & Science (WAAS) — a partner of the Nizami Ganjavi Center — the participants of the forum included Dr. Mariana Bozesan (Member of the Club of Rome and WAAS, Co-founder of AQAL Group) and Thomas Schulz (Member of the WAAS, CEO of AQAL Group). Within the framework of this visit, the Azerbaijan Future Studies Society fully prepared and implemented an exclusive program of high-level meetings.
Academic and Social Block (March 11):
* A visit to ADA University took place, where the delegation held a meeting with the faculty and students.
* A significant meeting was held with Professor Hijran Huseynova, Member of the Milli Majlis and Chairperson of the Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs. During the conversation, social transformations and the role of science in modern society were discussed.
* At the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC), the delegation was received by the Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, together with the heads of all relevant centers and departments. The main focus was on the integration and practical application of artificial intelligence technologies in various sectors of the economy and management.
State and Strategic Dialogue (March 13–14):
* Under the auspices of the Society, a meeting was held with Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Climate Issues and COP29 President, to discuss long-term climate policy and a sustainable future.
* A meeting was organized with Member of the Milli Majlis Nigar Arpadarai, who served as the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29.
* Official negotiations were held with the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, Rashad Nabiyev, as well as with the Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), Farid Ahmadov. The parties discussed in detail the state strategy for digital transformation and ethical standards for the implementation of AI.
* As part of the interaction with the expert business community, a meeting was held with the Managing Partner of Rotas Consulting, Emil Madjidov. It is worth emphasizing that Rotas Consulting is the country's leading consulting agency, providing high-level analytical support for key reforms.
Expert Interaction (March 15):
* The program concluded with participation in a special session organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) together with the World Academy of Art & Science (WAAS).
The organization of this large-scale visit was another important step for the Azerbaijan Future Studies Society in integrating world intellectual experience into the development of the strategic institutions of Azerbaijan.
